--Ellen "Ellie" Louise (Axson) Wilson Papers
, 1860- 1 drawer and 28 vols, Partially restricted, Unpublished guide: Ellen Axson (1860-1914) met her future husband, Woodrow Wilson, in this Georgia town. Correspondence, photos, brochures, and other papers about Ellen Wilson were given to the Library in connection with the dedication of a portrait of her in 1972. The portrait was given to the Library by the Berry Schools in 1921.

There is an extensive listing of these in the Index in Manuscript Division, and they cover the period from 1884 to 1914 and miscellaneous. It is mostly correspondence received and located in Series 2.

--Ray Stannard Baker Papers: Container 98 includes several folders of excerpts from correspondence between Woodrow Wilson and Ellen Axson before and after their marriage, spanning the years 1883 to 1911. All typed copies of Mr. Baker’s work. One folder contains 10 pieces (photocopy) of letters from Wilson to Ellen Axson (ca. 1883) and one photo of her.
--John Davis Batchelder Papers: Container Vol. 11, No. 1730 has original "signature card" (like calling card) of Ellen Wilson.

Includes 16 boxes of correspondence with Ellen Wilson between 1883 and 1914, Edith Wilson, his mother Jeanie Woodrow Wilson, and his cousins Helen Woodrow Bones--who briefly served as White House hostess after Ellen Wilson’s death, but before the President’s remarriage--and Harriet Woodrow.
